Postcard Written By Me To My Parents and Sister in the Summer of 1994 while at Jesus Camp. (I was picked out of my CCD Class to go to for being such a good example of good Christian):
Dear Family,
I'm having a great time here. I've met tons of people and made lots of friends. The guys are great (looking of course), good personalities too! I already like someone. Reenie (my sister) he's Italian and his name is Marco. Tall and great lookin'! Kristen (my friend who also got picked) is in the same room as me - thanks Mom! I met this really nice girl, Jill. She's a dancer too. My group is great, so is my group leader, Pat. He's pretty cute, only 27. Kristen likes this kid Tony, he's really cute too. Well anyway, there is more to this place than just boys. We learn a lot of holy stuff, pretty boring but the people make up for it. The food and showers are kinda icky but we plan on getting a pizza delivered one of these days. See ya soon!
Buh-bye (Reenie will get that.)
Love,
Christine

Pretending To Know Strangers
As I said in my first post, I was dared by a friend to go into a public place and pretend to know a stranger. This is a recap of how that went.
Yesterday I woke up around 1pm. No, I am not a slacker. I have a cold and it kept me up pretty late the night before, plus I was talking to a kind of cool guy that I just met over the weekend.
Anyway, I knew I needed some Airborne if this cold was going to go away in a timely manner. I hate being sick!
I decided that I would go to Trader Joe's and get the cold accoutrements I would require in order to get better by Tuesday (tomorrow) night for my dance class!
I bundled up in leggings and fleece pants, that are way too short for my annoyingly long legs but worked out ok because my fake uggs came up higher than the pants dropped and you couldn't tell they were Steve Urkel short.
After chugging a cold cup of cinnamon spice coffee, I jumped in my car and was off! I blasted Brit Brit to get me pumped for the ridiculous act I was about to commit. When I got there, the parking lot was full of mom's and senior citizens who seem to love hanging out at the Panera next to Trader's.
When I got inside the store, I was a little bit intimidated by all of the shoppers but still super excited to do my dare! I didn't really think about what I was going to say or how I was going to do it, so I set my sights on a middle-aged, fairly pleasant looking man who appeared to be shopping alone. I called out the name John, slightly louder than necessary, while I walked towards him with the utmost enthusiasm, opening my arms and grabbing this perfect stranger for a very brief yet warm embrace. I realize this is beyond crazy, but it was a dare. I am a warrior dare doer and I was not about to chicken out on something sooo simple.
I will admit, it was a little bit awkward as the very confused and maybe a little bit appalled 40 something aged man stepped back looking at me in a way that I can only describe as complete befuddlement paired with the 'what should i do? i don't want to be mean' face.
Here is the most accurate replay that I can come up with of the dialogue that went on between us:
Me: John! How are you?! It's been forever!
Man not really named John, most likely: Ahhh, hiii?? (looking utterly baffled)
Me: How is the family?! How's Cindy and the kids?
Man not really named John, most likely: Uhhh.....
Me: Well it was great seeing you, I gotta run! Say hi to the fam for me! (taking off like a bat out of hell)
I have to say. I just love people. This poor guy acted so polite, even though a crazy woman had just near-assaulted him. I decided that maybe it would be best for me to suck it up and go to Stop & Shop instead for my Airborne and such, as the entire crowd in the frozen aisle at Trader's had seen my ludicrous performance.
So that's it. My first real blog. Hope it was as entertaining for you, as it was for me.
I am seriously considering, looking into an Improv Acting class. I feel like I'm a born natural!
Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more crazy blogs about anything and everything I and my magnificent friend Anthony can come up with to blog about.

Virgin Blog
Ok........a brief introduction.
My name is Christine. I have this friend Anthony, who lives in San Diego. He is the most amazing person ever and I miss him terribly. I met him while I was living in San Diego but now I live in MA.
We sometimes watch movies together from afar and text eachother or instant message while we are watching. It's how we bond cross-country.
We recently watched Julie and Julia together. We decided it would be super fun to start writing blogs about new life experiences that we wanted to have or that we never thought of doing.
Today, Anthony dared me to go to a public place and pretend to know a stranger.
I was all for it.
My next blog will be about that experience.
Here goes.
